Organic Kampot White Peppercorns - Cambodia
Subtle & Fresh
When the Kampot pepper berry is fully mature and turns to a beautiful bright red color on the vine, it is harvested to produce red pepper. The red pepper then becomes white pepper when the farmer extracts the white core (think coffee bean from a coffee cherry), and then sun-dries the remnants. This particular white pepper is produced in the pepper-famous Kampot province of Cambodia.
Our Kampot peppercorns are sourced from La Plantation, a WFTO Guaranteed Fair Trade Enterprise. They are 100% sustainably farmed, hand-picked & sun-dried. Available in 4 and 8 ounce content weight.
Kampot White Pepper develops an intense bouquet and delicate aroma. Light on heat and acidity, the clementine and rosemary notes really shine through.
Best with these foods - Fish and seafood, white meats, eggs, potatoes, and light colored soups.
Testimonials
Spending a few extra dollars for this pepper is an easy way to upgrade all of your cooking.
Not like any pepper you have ever tasted. Lovely floral notes, hot - yet lingers on tongue like a dance.
My new favorite thing.
